Jonesboro police conducted a compliance operation that resulted in the arrests of 21 individuals for failing to adhere to sex offender registration requirements.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department, the arrests took place over four days, beginning on September 22 and concluding on September 25.
Those charged faced allegations of failure to register, a Class C felony under Arkansas law. Craighead County District Judges Thomas Fowler and David Boling found probable cause to formally charge each individual.
Among those detained, Clarence Hayes also faced additional charges. Authorities accused Hayes of possessing drug paraphernalia, classified as a Class B felony, and possessing less than four ounces of a Schedule VI controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
