Arvest Bank’s 30th annual Charity Golf Tournament raised $18,000 to benefit three local nonprofits across Baxter, Marion, and Boone counties, the bank announced on Monday.
The event, held on August 22 at Twin Lakes Golf Club in Mountain Home, distributed $6,000 each to Spectrum Connection of Arkansas, the Mid-Marion County Rotary Club, and the Burlsworth Foundation. Beneficiaries are selected annually by bank associates.
“For 30 years, our generous sponsors, the players, and the volunteers have made it possible for us to support local nonprofits,” said Scott Copeland, president of Arvest Bank – North Arkansas. “We thank them for their contributions.”
Spectrum Connection of Arkansas, based in Mountain Home, uses its funding to provide resources and raise awareness for families and individuals affected by autism, ADHD, ADD, and dyslexia. Established in 2024, the organization offers more information at spectrumconnectionofarkansas.com.
The Mid-Marion County Rotary Club and the Burlsworth Foundation, based in Harrison, also received an equal share of the proceeds. The Burlsworth Foundation is widely recognized for its work supporting underprivileged children and promoting character development in Arkansas communities.
Over its three-decade history, the tournament has raised more than $317,000 for various nonprofits in the region. Last year’s beneficiaries included Grace Abounds in Baxter County, the Marion County Nursing Home Auxiliary, and NWA Workforce Development in Boone County.
