The city of Mountain Home’s annual fall cleanup is set for Oct. 26-30, providing residents an opportunity to discard large household items.
Methvin Sanitation, a Waste Connections company, will manage the event for those living within the city limits. The service is specifically for oversized items and excludes routine garbage or small debris.
To participate, residents should place their items curbside by 6 a.m. on their regularly scheduled trash collection day. Accepted items include furniture, mattresses, box springs, freon-free appliances, toys, bicycles without tires, push or self-propelled lawn mowers that have been drained of oil and gas, tools, bagged clothing, metal items under four feet long and weighing less than 50 pounds, rolled and tied carpet under four feet long, and fencing under four feet long.
Several items are prohibited from the collection, including electronics, yard waste, tires, paint, vehicle batteries, and construction debris.
