BURDETTE, Ark. — A Blytheville man died late Monday when his vehicle overturned after leaving the roadway on U.S. Highway 61, according to a preliminary report from Arkansas State Police.
The crash happened around 11:25 p.m. on September 25 near Sandy Ridge Road. Investigators say Larry Z. Harris, 59, was driving south in a 2014 Buick Enclave when the vehicle failed to maintain its lane, crossed the center line, left the roadway, struck a guardrail, became airborne, and overturned.
The weather was clear at the time, and road conditions were dry, according to the agency’s report. Trooper Daniel E. Young was listed as the investigating officer.
Authorities emphasized that the preliminary report is not a final determination of fault.
