Four members of the Reppell Diabetes Clinic staff have been celebrated with Heroes with Halos awards, an honor given by Baxter Health. The recognition came after a volunteer nominated the team for their exceptional dedication and supportive care.
The honorees are Jodi Bodenhamer, APRN, CDCES; Donna Love; Carrie Geier, BSN, RN, MSEd; and Geri Taylor, MSN, RN. They received their awards during a presentation led by Baxter Health President and CEO Ron Peterson, joined by other hospital leaders. According to the nominating volunteer, the four bring kindness and encouragement to their work environment. “They treat us all like family!” the volunteer wrote, emphasizing their attentiveness to health issues and their consideration for the well-being of both volunteers and colleagues.
Several other staff and guests attended the ceremony, including Brian Barnett, vice president of physician enterprise and business development; Nicole Vaccarella, vice president and general counsel; Tobias Pugsley, vice president of marketing and communications; Jodi Moore, clinic manager; Jennifer Geier, volunteer; and Sarah Edwards, executive director of the Baxter Health Foundation.
The Heroes with Halos program allows patients, families, and coworkers to honor outstanding physicians, employees, volunteers, or departments with a tax-deductible donation to Baxter Health. Honorees receive a certificate presented by a senior leader, along with a badge to commemorate the achievement. Donors can designate their contributions toward healthcare scholarships, the hospital’s community support houses, or the area of greatest need.
