Cushman will celebrate its rich history this Saturday, September 26, with the annual Miners Day festival, offering a full day of free family entertainment, live music, and community gatherings.
According to event organizer Sydney Franks, the festivities will span the area from the pavilion behind the Cushman Store to the city park. Activities will begin with a parade at 10:30 a.m. Following the parade, attendees can enjoy vendor booths, children’s attractions, and live music spread across the expanded event space from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Children's activities will feature a rock climbing wall, mechanical bull, foam pit, space ball, and battle balls, all offered free of charge. The day will also include a series of major prize giveaways at 3 p.m., with prizes such as a Turtlebox outdoor speaker, a kayak, a cooler donated by Moser Rock and Dirt, and a two-night cabin stay.
Franks expressed excitement over this year’s record number of participating vendors and the support of local sponsors, including the Bank of Cave City and Hatfield Ready Mix, which have made the event possible.
