The Spring River Gem & Mineral Club will host a special presentation on Scottish heritage in northeastern Arkansas, featuring live bagpipe performances by Pipe Majors Kent Adler and Jimmy Bell. The event, titled “Scottish Heritage in North Eastern Arkansas,” will explore the historical reasons and stories behind how Scottish settlers came to the region.
The presentation will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 2, at the Thunderbird Center, located at 62 N. Lakeshore Road in Cherokee Village. Attendance is free and open to the public.
Organizers shared that the presentation aims to shed light on the cultural and historical contributions of Scottish settlers in the area. The event will provide a mix of musical entertainment and historical insight, showcasing the unique sounds of traditional Scottish bagpipes.
