The 15th Annual Art Odyssey Studio Tour begins this Thursday, offering art enthusiasts a chance to explore the workspaces of 29 artists throughout Baxter and Marion counties. The self-guided tour runs daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Saturday.
This popular event invites residents and visitors alike to connect with painters, potters, sculptors, photographers, and other artists who open their studios for public tours. Through this behind-the-scenes experience, guests can meet the artists, watch live demonstrations, ask questions, and purchase original works directly.
Tour guide booklets, which include studio locations and driving directions, are available free of charge at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County, the Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce, and select local businesses. Visitors are encouraged to use the guide to plan their route and visit as many studios as they wish at their own pace.
Artists participating in this year’s juried event are based across several Twin Lakes-area communities. Featured artists include: Dana Johnson, Meg Simons, Ashlie Hueter, and Carol Chiasson Rivas in Yellville; Kelly Householder-Guiliano, Sylvia Berringer, and Shelly Huth in Cotter; Bonnie Heenan in Gassville; Dawn and Glen Lagerstedt, Jacki Skehan, Sami Castagna, and Evelyn Nelson in Bull Shoals; and Jerry Preator in Lakeview.
Mountain Home will showcase Emily Henry, D. Mairina Arellano, the Marstons (Jean and Jennifer), Catherine Stotesbery, Christi Cooper, Jenny Crownover-Merritt, Kathe Altazan, Linda Mahoney, Darlene and Steve Landrum, Dale White, and Cynthia Joy Malenshek. Jeanne Roth will host in Gamaliel, and Beth Ivans will welcome visitors in Henderson.
Organizers emphasize that no tickets are required for the free, open-to-the-public event. Attendees are encouraged to enjoy the day by exploring studios as well as local shops, restaurants, and other businesses along their route.
