JONESBORO, Ark. — Craighead County Justice of the Peace Garrett Barnes will hold a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The event will take place in the Round Room of the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library, located at 315 W Oak Avenue. Attendees are advised to enter from Madison Street.
Since assuming office in January 2023, Barnes has hosted over ten public forums to share updates on county government, answer questions, and gather feedback from residents.
The Town Hall will begin with an update on the Craighead County Quorum Court before moving into discussions on two noteworthy ballot questions. At 6:15 p.m., Barnes will be joined by Ethan Ivy of Safety First for Jonesboro to address the public safety ballot question impacting the city. At 6:45 p.m., Robin Martin of Citizens Taxed Enough will join to discuss a county-level ballot question regarding the potential elimination of the Craighead County Treasurer’s office.
