The Baxter Health Wound Healing Center in Mountain Home is inviting the community to an open house on Friday, celebrating two decades of specialized wound care. The event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at the clinic, located at 907 Burnett Drive.
Lane Brundage, the program director of the center, stated that the open house will provide an opportunity for individuals to learn about the services offered and explore both longstanding and newer treatment options offered by the clinic. Over its 20-year history, the center has treated a variety of wounds using advanced medical approaches.
Attendees will also be able to view displays highlighting treatments and visit the clinic's facilities, including treatment rooms and hyperbaric oxygen chambers. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is one of the center's advanced tools, used to accelerate wound healing for certain conditions.
Clinical Nurse Manager Suzanne Jones emphasized the event's goal of making visitors feel at ease with the care options offered at the clinic. She noted that the staff takes pride in explaining procedures and addressing concerns to give patients confidence and reassurance throughout their treatment process.
