The rest of Fulton County, along with Sharp, Izard, Lawrence, and Randolph counties, is categorized under "extreme drought" conditions (D3).
The data, which reflects conditions from two weeks prior, is updated weekly by the National Weather Service. Both classifications indicate shrinking water availability, increased risks to crops and livestock, and heightened potential for wildfires.
