River Lee, a 2025 graduate of Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden, has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Peco Foods, Inc. The scholarship, provided through the Black River Technical College (BRTC) Foundation, will support Lee as he pursues a degree in nursing.
The funding for the Peco Foods Scholarship is made possible through the 2025 BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament, which featured Proventus as its headlining sponsor. Under the tournament's 4-Star sponsorship package, contributors can fund scholarships for BRTC students.
Lee, the son of Amanda Ponder and Billy Lee Jr., both of Imboden, plans to use the scholarship to further his education and achieve his nursing career goals.
