JONESBORO — The Arkansas State University Museum will hold its annual STEAMFest on Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event will take place at the museum, located at 320 University Loop on the A-State campus.
Organizers invite participants of all ages to engage in a variety of hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities. According to a news release from the university, attendees will have the opportunity to problem-solve, tinker, experiment, create art, explore scientific concepts, and even "make plants sing."
Jill Kary, the museum's curator of education, emphasized the importance of creativity and experimentation in learning. "We’re most creative when we’re playing," Kary said. "In other words, true genius happens when we allow ourselves to fail without fear."
