HARRISBURG, Ark. — Two Harrisburg residents died after a pickup truck left the roadway, struck an embankment, and overturned late Friday night, according to a preliminary crash report from the Arkansas State Police.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Friday, Sept. 18, near the intersection of Mills Road and West Griffin Street. Floyd Leonard Pretty, 56, was driving a 2000 GMC Sierra south on Mills Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway, the report states. The truck hit an embankment and overturned, resulting in the deaths of both Pretty and his passenger, 60-year-old Gina Annette Moore, also of Harrisburg.
No other injuries were reported in the crash. Arkansas State Police Sgt. Tommy L. Fitzgerald conducted the investigation, noting clear weather and dry road conditions at the time.
