A portion of State Highway 91 in Craighead County is closed as crews respond to broken utility poles and downed power lines in the area.
According to Jonesboro E911, the closure, which began early Tuesday morning just after 3 a.m., affects the stretch of the highway located west of Craighead County Road 155 and east of Craighead County Road 150.
The Craighead Electric Cooperative reported that more than 180 power outages have been recorded in the area as a result of the fallen lines. Repair crews are currently on-site working to address the issue.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible and seek alternative routes until the repairs are completed and the highway is reopened.
