Arkansas State University in Jonesboro has released its list of graduates who completed degree requirements during the August conferral period. Students from 43 U.S. states, territories including Washington, D.C., and 16 foreign countries were awarded diplomas.
Degrees were distributed across a broad range of academic levels, including associate, bachelor’s, master’s, specialist, and doctoral degrees, as well as professional certificates. The graduates represented a variety of disciplines from the university’s colleges, which include Agriculture; Neil Griffin College of Business; Education and Behavioral Science; Engineering and Computer Science; Liberal Arts and Communication; Nursing and Health Professions; Beck Sciences and Mathematics; and University College.
The university also acknowledged academic honors for undergraduate students. Those graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA received Summa Cum Laude honors. Students with GPAs ranging from 3.8 to 3.99 were recognized as Magna Cum Laude graduates, while those with GPAs between 3.6 and 3.79 earned Cum Laude honors.
Graduates are organized in the university’s official record by state or territory, county, and hometown, followed by international students and those completing degrees at A-State Campus Querétaro in Mexico. Information regarding honors, degrees, and programs of study have been verified by the Registrar’s Office.
Notable graduates from the North Arkansas region include:
- **Baxter County:** Alexander Brendan Jordan of Mountain Home earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Madison N. Shipman of Mountain Home received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; and Sierra Kleszcz of Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
- **Boone County:** Sydney N. Savage of Lead Hill completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Paige Michael Wasylewski of Harrison earned a Master of Science in Sport Administration; and Megan Holaday Walker of Harrison obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching.
- **Carroll County:** Kevin Maldonado Lopez of Berryville earned a Master of Science in Nursing, and Eliza Nell Parkman of Eureka Springs completed an Associate of Science degree.
