FORREST CITY, Ark.—An 18-year-old from Forrest City was arrested Thursday, September 17, on charges stemming from an investigation into the possession of child sexual abuse material, according to the Arkansas State Police (ASP).
Ja’Quan Ivey was taken into custody in the lobby of the St. Francis County Detention Center. He faces four counts of pandering or possessing a visual or print medium that depicts sexually explicit conduct involving a child. Authorities said his bond has been set at $100,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 5.
The investigation began after a cloud-based storage service flagged the upload of suspected illicit content. The service sent a cyber tip to law enforcement, prompting action from several agencies.
On July 31, 2026, ASP special agents and Arkansas Highway Police executed a search warrant at a residence near Summer Street and Pin Oak Street in Forrest City. During the search, officers seized one electronic device. Authorities declined to provide details about the device or its contents, stating that the investigation remains ongoing.
