Baxter Health and KTLO have announced the return of their longstanding Health Fair and Expo, set to take place on Saturday, October 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mountain Home Community Center. The event, now in its 45th year, is free and open to the public. No registration is required to attend.
The annual Health Fair brings health resources, screenings, and education to the residents of the Twin Lakes Area. This year’s event marks its debut at the Mountain Home Community Center, a recently opened facility designed to promote fitness and wellness for individuals of all ages.
Attendees will have access to a variety of free health screenings, including checks of vital signs such as blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, temperature, and respiratory rate. Vouchers for free testing of blood sugar, cholesterol, PSA, and HbA1c levels will also be provided, redeemable at the Baxter Health Outpatient Lab.
Local healthcare providers and organizations will be present to offer resources and guidance, helping attendees take a proactive role in their health. Informative exhibits, demonstrations, and the chance to connect with Baxter Health professionals and other community health partners round out the day’s offerings.
The main venue for the event will be the Community Center’s gymnasium, which provides ample space for exhibits and screenings while showcasing a facility dedicated year-round to health and wellness.
