A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 1.9 was recorded in Mississippi County, Arkansas, on Monday, according to data from the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor occurred at 4:12 p.m. on July 27 and had a depth of approximately 3.9 miles. The epicenter was identified as being 3.7 miles west of Victoria and about 16 miles southwest of Blytheville, officials said.
While the earthquake was relatively weak and there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, the USGS encourages residents who experienced any effects of the event to report their observations on the agency’s website.
