A Mountain Home woman charged with selling methamphetamine to a police informant has been advised to consult an attorney before entering a guilty plea.
Fifty-four-year-old Lynn Marie Harris appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court on September 8, where she initially indicated her intention to plead guilty to the charges. However, court officials cautioned her not to make a decision before speaking with legal counsel.
Harris, who resides along U.S. Highway 62 East, is charged with a Class B felony for the alleged sale of 6.2 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant in 2025. Under Arkansas law, Class B felonies apply when drug transactions involve 2 to 10 grams of methamphetamine. Convictions can carry a prison sentence of 5 to 20 years and a fine of up to $15,000.
Court records indicate the drug sale took place in August 2025, with the informant paying $220 for the methamphetamine. After the controlled transaction, the informant debriefed police. Charges against Harris were later filed on April 17, 2026. Reasons for the delay between events were not detailed in court documents.
Harris’s bond is set at $10,000, and her next court appearance is scheduled for October 12.
