JONESBORO — Applications are now open for the Northeast Arkansas Regional Leadership Accelerator Academy, a leadership development program organized by the Delta Center for Economic Development at Arkansas State University. The year-long program aims to build leadership skills and enhance collaboration across the 17 counties of Northeast Arkansas.
The program brings together emerging and established leaders from various sectors, including business, education, healthcare, government, and nonprofit organizations. Participants will focus on practical leadership development through six day-long sessions. Topics include communication, strategic planning, leadership under pressure, collaboration, negotiation, and mentorship.
The Academy emphasizes hands-on learning and real-world applications, enabling participants to immediately implement their new skills in their workplaces and communities.
Andrea Allen, executive director of the Delta Center, described the program’s broader mission. “The Northeast Arkansas Regional Leadership Accelerator Academy is built for leaders who want to make a tangible difference,” Allen said. “By investing in the growth of our region’s leaders, we are investing in the long-term success of Northeast Arkansas.”
Applications are open to professionals aged 21 and older who live or work in Northeast Arkansas and demonstrate a commitment to leadership and community impact. The application deadline is Friday, November 13, and selected participants will be notified later that month. The next cohort is scheduled to begin in January.
