A level 3 sex offender identified as high risk to re-offend has updated his registration with the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, according to a recent notification from law enforcement.
The offender, 48-year-old Kenneth Skillings, has registered at a residence on Su Lane in Mountain Home. Authorities noted Skillings previously lived at another address within the city limits.
Skillings was convicted on November 29, 1995, of second-degree rape involving a 12-year-old female victim, according to provided documentation.
The announcement clarified that Skillings is not currently wanted by law enforcement. Officials stated the purpose of such notifications is to keep the public informed, emphasizing that an informed public contributes to community safety.
The Baxter County Sheriff's Office also reminded residents that the information provided about registered sex offenders cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass individuals.
