The Mountain Home 8th grade and junior varsity football teams faced off against the Farmington Cardinals on Monday evening in northwest Arkansas, where both teams were handed defeats.
The 8th grade squad found themselves in a challenging position early, trailing Farmington 20-0 by halftime. Despite getting on the scoreboard in the second half, the Bombers ultimately fell short, ending the game with a 20-6 loss.
Later in the evening, the junior varsity Bombers fought hard. The game was tied 7-7 at one point, but Farmington pulled away to claim a 17-7 victory.
Mountain Home’s football teams will look to bounce back when they face Jonesboro next week.
