The Mountain Home Junior High Lady Bombers had a successful evening Monday at The Hangar, where they faced Yellville in volleyball matchups spanning two seventh grade teams and one eighth grade squad.
The evening began with Yellville’s seventh grade gold team sweeping Mountain Home in two sets, finishing 25-20 and 25-17. Despite the loss, Hadi Kellum stood out for Mountain Home with three aces and three kills, while Aspen McCurley contributed six aces.
In the second matchup, the Lady Bombers’ seventh grade blue team responded with a dominant performance, sweeping Yellville 25-10 in both sets. Elliott Decker led the effort with eight aces, five assists, and two kills.
Closing out the night, Mountain Home’s eighth grade team also earned a sweep, defeating Yellville 25-7 and 25-10. Emma Campbell delivered 11 assists and three kills, while Laila Baxter added six aces and five kills.
Both the seventh and eighth grade Lady Bombers will travel to West Plains for their next match on Tuesday.
