A public forum addressing topics such as the Constitution, public education, and civic participation will take place Tuesday evening at the Donald W. Reynolds Library Serving Baxter County. The event, titled "Our Constitution, Our Schools, Our Future: Local Voice and Civic Action Public Forum," is scheduled from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Knox Community Room B.
The forum is open to all community members and will feature Jeff Waldin, the Libertarian candidate in Arkansas's U.S. Senate race. Based in Bentonville, Waldin describes himself as a centrist Libertarian, advocating for affordability, fiscal responsibility, personal liberty, and limited government.
Waldin is one of three candidates running in this year’s U.S. Senate race. The others include Republican incumbent Tom Cotton, who is seeking re-election, and Democratic challenger Hallie Shoffner.
The library, located at 300 Library Hill Lane in Mountain Home, will host the event as part of its efforts to encourage civic engagement and informed discussion. Local residents are encouraged to attend and participate.
