A 19-year-old Bradford man lost his life on the evening of Sept. 5 in a single-vehicle crash on State Highway 25 near Charlotte in Independence County.
According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, the incident occurred around 7:35 p.m. Authorities said the driver of a westbound 2018 Ram pickup truck left the north side of the highway, struck a creek embankment, and overturned. The vehicle caught fire upon impact, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The report identified the victim as Robert Colvin, 19, of Bradford.
Conditions at the time were noted as clear skies with a dry roadway.
State officials continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
