The Batesville Fire Department confirmed that the city’s burn ban will resume as of 5 p.m. Monday. In Northeast Arkansas, Lawrence County has lifted its previous burn ban after receiving several inches of rainfall, according to County Judge Gary Barnhill.
Despite some areas seeing rainfall, the Arkansas Forestry Division warns the state remains at high risk for wildfires, with hot weather and dry terrain increasing the threat.
