A 74-year-old man from Texas died Saturday morning in a motorcycle accident in Baxter County. According to authorities, Douglas Whipple of Lake Jackson, Texas, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision on Highway 5 in the Old Joe area.
The accident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. when Whipple’s motorcycle crossed the centerline and struck an oncoming vehicle.
