JONESBORO — Arkansas State University’s Center for Leadership Excellence (CLE) will commemorate its 10th anniversary later this month by hosting the Leadership Excellence Conference. Scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 29, the event will take place in Centennial Hall at the Reng Student Union.
Check-in opens at 8:30 a.m., with the opening session set to begin at 9:30 a.m. The conference is free to attend and will include lunch.
“This event is inspiring to all. We are proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Center for Leadership Excellence this year,” said Dr. Patricia Quinn Johnston, executive director of CLE. “People of all ages from our community and beyond are invited to attend. All who are interested in leadership, growth, community, and learning will benefit from this experience.”
Marcy Doderer, president and CEO of Arkansas Children’s Hospital, will deliver the keynote address. A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Doderer has overseen significant growth and transformation at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, making it a leading pediatric healthcare system in the state.
The conference’s theme, "A Decade of Impact: Sustaining Connection in a Changing World," underscores the importance of building meaningful relationships in personal and professional settings, according to Johnston. "We want to build a leadership community and create meaningful connections among all who participate in our events," she said. "This theme of connection resonates with us because connection is so important for our health, well-being, and success."
Traditionally held in the spring, CLE is introducing a fall conference this year—a shift Johnston noted aligns with their efforts to grow and adapt.
