The Mountain Home Planning Commission is set to review three rezoning applications and a parking variance request during its upcoming meeting scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. in the council chambers of the Municipal Building.
One of the rezoning applications, submitted by West Plains Bank, seeks to rezone property located at 1377 Highway 62 B from Commercial C-2 to Commercial C-4. Ted Sanders is expected to present this request to the commission.
In a separate matter, Thom Embach has submitted an application to rezone property situated at the end of Parkway Drive, northwest of The Grand, from Residential R-3 to Residential R-4. Sanders will also present this proposal.
Additionally, the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas has requested a zoning change for property at the intersection of Highland Parkway and Highland Circle. The proposal seeks to modify the current zoning from Commercial C-2 to Commercial C-2A.
The commission will also review a request for an off-street parking variance for a property on East Fifth Street. This application is being made jointly by Baxter County and DEMX Architecture, with William Wehmeyer Jr. of Consolidated Land Services slated to present the details.
The meeting is open to the public, and decisions made by the Planning Commission will guide future development in these areas.
