An elderly motorcyclist died Wednesday morning following a collision in Jonesboro at the intersection of State Highway 18 (Highland Drive) and Rains Street.
According to a crash report from Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred around 11 a.m. when 82-year-old Roger Allen McMillan of Jonesboro was riding his 2006 Honda FSC600 motorcycle southbound on Rains Street.
The report states McMillan turned at a red light, crossing the outside lane and into the path of a 2016 Hyundai that was traveling west on Highway 18. McMillan's motorcycle struck the car, resulting in fatal injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai was not identified in the crash summary.
Arkansas State Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
