Fulton County residents will have the opportunity to dispose of unwanted items during a county-wide autumn clean-up set for Monday through Friday, September 14–18.

County Judge Ken Crow announced that the clean-up service is free for Fulton County residents. Participants are invited to bring items such as furniture, appliances, electronics, and other waste to the landfill located on Veterans Way, off Highway 395, north of Salem. The landfill will be open for drop-offs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Before bringing items to the collection site, residents must visit the County Judge’s Office in the courthouse at Salem. There, they will need to verify their residency and obtain a certificate of authorization to use the landfill.

For those living outside city limits who utilize Waste Connections services, the judge’s office is also offering a 20 percent discount. Residents must verify their residency with the office to access the discounted rate.
