Izard County authorities were dispatched to a residence near Oxford on Thursday following reports of an altercation.

According to officials, 44-year-old Rachael Hancock of Oxford was taken into custody at the scene. She is being held in the Izard County Detention Center on a charge of domestic battery in the third degree.
