The Camp Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a community pancake breakfast this morning from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the station on Highway 9, located between Salem and Mammoth Spring.
The breakfast is part of an "End of Summer" event and is free to attend, though donations are encouraged as the fire department works to raise funds for much-needed equipment upgrades, including a set of jaws of life.
Longtime firefighters Jerry Barnes, Bill Lowman, and other volunteers will be preparing a menu of pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, and other items.
In addition to serving breakfast, the event offers a chance for attendees to meet the firefighting crew. Camp Fire Chief Kyle Miller encourages individuals interested in joining the department to stop by and learn more about becoming a firefighter.
Organizers invite the public to enjoy the food and fellowship while supporting the fire department’s mission to enhance emergency response capabilities.
