Arkansas State University has partnered with Sany Nutrition Group, a Jonesboro-based company, to launch a limited-edition protein bar aimed at supporting students in need.

The caramel chocolate protein crunch snack, named “Beyond Resilience x Red Wolves,” will debut during the Great A-State Tailgate event in downtown Jonesboro on Friday evening. According to a news release from the university, proceeds from the sale of the bars will benefit the A-State Student Emergency Fund, which offers financial assistance to students facing unexpected hardships.

Dr. Erika Krennerich Chudy, Arkansas State University’s vice chancellor for university advancement, emphasized the importance of the collaboration.

“The best partnerships are those that create an impact beyond the partners themselves,” Chudy stated. “Our students demonstrate resilience every day, but unexpected circumstances can sometimes create barriers to continuing their education. By supporting the A-State Student Emergency Fund, Sany Nutrition Group and Beyond Resilience are helping us provide critical support during those moments and helping our students stay on track toward earning their degrees.”

Angela Pernsteiner, an investor with Sany Nutrition Group, highlighted the cooperative nature of the project and its core philosophy.

“Beyond Resilience is built around the belief that adversity does not define the future—it helps build it,” Pernsteiner said. “Together, we want to show that a healthy lifestyle can still taste indulgent—and that hardship can become the foundation for greater resilience and future success in life, business and sports.”

The locally produced protein bars are part of Sany Nutrition Group’s “local-for-local strategy,” aimed at nurturing connections within the community while promoting wellness. The initiative represents a shared commitment to addressing the challenges that could hinder students’ paths toward academic and personal achievement.
