Mountain Home Junior High’s football teams thrilled fans at Bomber Stadium Thursday night, marking their home debut for the season with decisive victories over Paragould.
The evening opened with the 8th grade Bombers facing a competitive Paragould squad. The game remained close through the first half, with Mountain Home leading 16-14 at the break. However, the Bombers dominated the second half, scoring 20 unanswered points to secure a 36-14 win. The victory improves the 8th grade team’s record to 2-1 for the season.
In the 9th grade matchup, Mountain Home showcased a commanding performance, storming to a 27-0 lead before sealing a 33-8 victory. The win keeps the 9th grade Bombers undefeated with a 3-0 record.
Both teams will hit the road next week to take on Little Rock Parkview.
