A Sidney man is in custody in Izard County after being arrested during a traffic stop south of Melbourne.
According to authorities, 79-year-old Richard Ivie was taken into custody on multiple charges, including possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license for DWI, careless driving, DWI (fourth offense), possession of an open container, no proof of insurance, and failure to wear a seat belt.
Ivie is currently being held in the Izard County Detention Center, where he is awaiting a bond hearing and an upcoming court date.
