The sixth annual Patriots Day program will take place at Cougar Stadium on the Izard County STEM School campus in Brockwell this Friday at 9 a.m. The event is open to the public, and attendees will join the Izard County STEM School student body in honoring first responders and other community heroes.
All eleven Izard County fire departments, along with Vital Link, Air Evac, and Survival Flight, are expected to participate in the event, with medivac helicopters planned to be on site. Members of the Izard County Sheriff's Department and other local agencies are also scheduled to attend. The ceremony provides an opportunity to recognize their commitment and dedication to public safety.
In Sharp County, a separate Patriots Day program will be hosted by local veterans service organizations on the same day at 9 a.m. This event will take place inside the John A. Cooper Memorial Gym, located in the Highland High School building. Community members are invited to join the Highland student body for this gathering.
For individuals unable to attend the Highland ceremony in person, a broadcast of the service will be available on KSAR 92.3 FM.
Both events aim to bring people together to honor local first responders and reflect on the significance of Patriots Day.
