Baxter Health has awarded Jaclyn Warren, BSN, RN, the Heroes with Halos Award in recognition of her dedication and compassionate care. Warren was nominated by the family of a heart surgery patient for her support before and after the patient’s coronary artery bypass graft procedure.

According to the nomination, Warren was assisting the cardiac surgery team in the pre-surgery area on the morning of the operation. Drawing on her years of experience, she explained what the patient and family could expect during recovery in a clear and supportive manner. The family member noted that Warren later returned to check on them, bringing dietary information and maintaining a positive and kind demeanor.

The award presentation included Anthony Reed, vice president of ancillary services; Tobias Pugsley, vice president of marketing and communications; Dawn Tullis, ADN, RN, cardiac rehab coordinator; and members of the cardiac rehabilitation staff.

The Heroes with Halos program enables patients and families to recognize exceptional care from Baxter Health providers, employees, volunteers, or departments. Nominations for the award can be submitted through the program’s website at www.baxterhealth.org/heroes.
