The 2nd Annual Whittlin’ and Fiddlin’ Festival will return to Leslie, Arkansas, on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Leslie, offering a full day of traditional music, unique competitions, and local craftsmanship.
One of the festival’s main attractions is live music, with bluegrass bands and traditional fiddle performances scheduled at the town bandstand.
Whittling contests will be held throughout the day, divided by age groups. Competitors will showcase their skills in categories such as the longest wood curl, the largest pile of shavings, and the most unique hand-carved item.
At noon, the festival will feature a community gathering for an attempt to set a world record for the largest simultaneous whittling session. Attendees are encouraged to participate in this collective effort.
Main Street will be lined with local hand-carvers, chainsaw carving artists, vintage vendors, and food trucks, offering a variety of items and refreshments for visitors.
