A 20-year-old Cherokee Village resident, John Edward Rosser, was arrested on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, according to court records. Rosser was taken into custody by the Sharp County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the county’s detention center.

Authorities have charged Rosser with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, a Class Y felony; possession of a controlled substance with the purpose to deliver, a Schedule VI Class D felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
