Sharp County Sheriff's Office Arrests 15 During Weekly Reporting Period

The Sharp County Sheriff's Office reported the arrests of 15 individuals from August 31 to September 7, according to Chief Deputy Kevin “Bart” Simpson. Charges included a variety of offenses, ranging from traffic violations to drug possession and domestic violence.

Among those taken into custody:

- James Baney, 48, of Ash Flat, was arrested on a hold for another county or state. - John Durbin, 42, of Cherokee Village, was charged with multiple traffic-related offenses, including failure to appear on charges of no vehicle tags, failure to yield, no proof of liability insurance, driving on a suspended or revoked license, operating an unsafe vehicle, and reckless driving. - Donald French, 61, of Cherokee Village, was arrested for failure to register an expired vehicle tag, no insurance, and driving on a DWI-revoked license. - Samantha Hall, 33, of Ravenden, was charged with no proof of liability insurance, reckless driving, improper lane usage, driving while intoxicated, and unlawful use of a driver’s license. - Allison Horn, 57, of Cave City, faced charges of possession of less than four ounces of a Schedule VI substance and driving while intoxicated (drugs). - Elvis Jones, 51, of Cherokee Village, was charged with speeding, possession of less than two grams of methamphetamine or cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to exhibit registration, improper window tint, and driving without a seatbelt. - Joshua Mann, 36, of Jonesboro, was arrested for third-degree domestic battering and public intoxication. - Dairyus McNorton, 24, of Cave City, was charged with driving without required headlamps, speeding, driving while intoxicated (first offense), and careless or prohibited driving. - Carl Miller, 50, of Van Buren, was arrested for drinking in public, having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. - Michael Nesby, 31, of Trumann, was arrested for failing to pay a court-ordered time pay on a no insurance charge. - David Riddle, 62, of Proctor, was taken into custody for violating a suspension or probation order. - William Rutledge, 21, of Williford, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, possession of less than four ounces of a Schedule VI substance, and public intoxication. - Wade Sparks, 42, of Evening Shade, was arrested for violating a no-contact order. - Donald Tucker, 37, of Arkansas, was held on a charge of direct contempt of court. - Amanda Willey, 41, of Ash Flat, was charged with failing to appear on counts of possession of an instrument of crime and possession of drug paraphernalia.
