The Arkansas State women’s golf team advanced to 16th place after the second round of the Golfweek Fall Challenge on Monday, held at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. The Red Wolves recorded a 13-over-par 297, improving by one stroke from their opening round score of 298.
With a two-day total of 27-over-par 595, Arkansas State moved up two positions in the 23-team field. Central Arkansas sits two strokes ahead in 15th place, while Lipscomb and Stetson are tied for 11th at 17-over-par 585.
The tournament’s top five teams include UNCW (-3), High Point (+1), Campbell (+2), Memphis (+4), and Austin Peay (+9).
Caroline Hughes and Yinyoe Yang led the Red Wolves in the second round, each carding a 2-over-par 73. Hughes holds a two-day total of 5-over-par 147, tying her for 37th place overall. Yang is tied for 54th with a 7-over-par 149.
Other notable Arkansas State performances include Mackenzie Cloutier (73-77) and Sofia Bastidas (76-74), who are tied for 63rd at 8-over-par 150. Kayla Van de Ven (73-80) is tied for 84th at 11-over-par 153, and Ceci Lococo (75-82) is tied for 102nd at 15-over-par 157.
