The standings, released for the week ending September 5, saw Mountain Home (1-1) sharing the fifth spot with Jonesboro (2-0). Both teams garnered 11 points in the rankings.
The Class 6A division is topped by Benton, which received all 15 first-place votes and holds a 1-0 record. Rounding out the top five are Searcy (2-0) in second place with 62 points and one first-place vote, Sylvan Hills (2-0) in third with 43 points, and Van Buren (2-0) in fourth, earning 15 points.
This week's overall rankings are led by Bentonville in Class 7A, which holds the top position with a 2-0 record, 13 first-place votes, and 155 points. Conway (1-1) and Benton (1-0) follow in second and third, respectively. Other teams receiving recognition in the overall rankings include Bryant, Shiloh Christian, and North Little Rock.
The rankings are compiled through votes from a statewide panel of sports media members, evaluating teams across all divisions in Arkansas high school football. Rankings are based on a combination of win-loss records and points earned from the voting process.
