The Old Independence Regional Museum in Batesville will hold its annual Fall Family Day on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., offering a full day of free, family-friendly activities focused on agriculture and homesteading in Arkansas.
Event highlights include hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and traditional crafts. Participants can try their hand at creating corn husk dolls and playing with corn cob darts, sharing in some of the historic ways Arkansans once worked and played.
The Farm Bureau’s Dairy Classroom will feature a simulated cow demonstration, providing an engaging way to explore modern and historical dairy farming practices. Members of the Diamond 4-H Club will host a petting zoo, giving visitors a chance to interact with farm animals.
In addition to these activities, a vendor market will be available at the museum, offering a selection of items for sale.
