Baxter Health has announced the addition of Kirsten Cotter, APRN, to its Gastroenterology Clinic. Cotter, a familiar face within the health system, brings over 20 years of nursing experience to her new role.
Cotter has been a registered nurse and charge nurse with Baxter Health since 2001, earning a reputation for dedicated patient care and strong professional relationships across north central Arkansas. Her new role at the Gastroenterology Clinic represents a natural progression in a career marked by commitment and growth.
She earned both her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science in Nursing from Missouri State University, completing her advanced practice training while continuing her clinical work as a registered nurse. Cotter also served as a clinical instructor at Missouri State University's West Plains campus, where she played a role in educating future nurses.
Her professional memberships include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Gastroenterology Association. Cotter’s diverse background includes experience in burn care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, float pool and charge nursing, and university-level instruction.
The clinic has announced that Cotter will begin seeing patients on September 8.
