A lengthy investigation by the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force culminated Monday with the seizure of approximately 212 grams of methamphetamine, $500 in cash, and a vehicle in Calico Rock, according to authorities.
Task force members, working alongside the Izard County Sheriff’s Office, encountered 33-year-old Victoria Sean Watts of Mountain Home during the operation. Officers reported that Watts was found in possession of methamphetamine, digital scales, and other items allegedly used for drug distribution. The investigators also confiscated a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC300, which they believe was used to transport the illegal substances.
Commander Johnny Byler of the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force stated that the arrest was the result of a six-month effort to target and disrupt methamphetamine trafficking in Izard County and throughout north-central Arkansas.
"The Izard County Sheriff’s Office and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force remain committed to aggressively investigating illegal narcotics activity and working together to remove significant quantities of dangerous drugs from our communities," Byler said.
The case is now set to be reviewed by the 16th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Authorities noted that the investigation is still ongoing.
Watts is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
