Lawrence County deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Walnut Ridge early Wednesday morning.
Following their investigation at the scene, officers arrested James Carpenter. He has been charged with domestic battery in the third degree, according to authorities.
Carpenter is currently in custody and awaiting a bond hearing and a court date. No additional details about the incident have been released as of Wednesday evening.
