Arkansas State University (ASU) has recorded its sixth consecutive record-breaking semester, with fall enrollment reaching 17,000 students—a 4.7% increase compared to last year.
The growing freshman class now numbers 2,000 students, and campus housing occupancy has surged to 99.8%, with more than 1,500 students living in dorms this academic year.
Todd Clark, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer for ASU, acknowledged that growth presents challenges but emphasized that the university’s personalized approach sets it apart.
"The interactions that students and their families have with the people on this campus is really what makes us stand apart," said Clark. "We’re big enough to where we can have a college of vet school and some of these other, these big programs, but yet know you on a first-name basis."
ASU has been on an upward trend since fall 2022, with overall enrollment rising by 33% during that time. The university is currently ranked as the No. 3 college in Arkansas.
The enrollment milestone underscores the institution’s expanding reach and ongoing appeal to students across the state and beyond.
