A boil water order impacting a portion of Valley Springs Waterworks customers in Marion and Boone counties has been officially lifted, according to authorities.
The order, which had been in effect since Monday, applied to residents located north of Tennyson Loop up to the Harp’s Store. It was put in place after a water line break occurred during construction.
Officials have now confirmed that water quality tests have verified the safety of the system, allowing the advisory to be removed. Residents within the affected area no longer need to boil water prior to consumption or use.
For further updates or additional information, customers are encouraged to contact Valley Springs Waterworks directly.
